* why did scholars imagine that only by that fear which Æsir created, they could bring peace

Not even disturbed by some universes coming into being in it. Completely aloof from the universes. How can singularity become many without even taking part or being even connected to that game?  Anyway: it does. We shall understand Freyja, ÓðinnViliVéi, nifl and múspell as silence and dynamisms embracing each other. The broken symmetry, fermions and bosons.

The gods make our univers as we perceive it out of sound. Ymir is all sound. Each element, in Icelandic höfuðskepna, (höfuð-skepna) a main-created, has its own special vibrational mode. They are nothing but vibrations. So is Gungnir, the weapon of Óðinn: vibrations. Valkyrja is born along with man, so if we want to understand, we accept her service and transcend to the sphere of total knowledge.
