(Icelandic dóttir means daughter, dætur means daughters)

They dance on the surface, but mirror the perfection of the depths.

Ránardætur - daughters of Rán
Ránardætur – daughters of Rán

Daughters of Rán, Ránardætur, reflect the perfect orderliness found in the perfection of the unfathomable profundity, reflect it into creation, our universe, our life.
We plunge into Ægir, into our own consciousness, to imbibe that orderliness, and bring it into our life.
We should not live exclusively in the surface values of life. The profundity contains all the nourishment. We find it within.

Ránar 9 dætur are:  Bára, Blóðughadda, Bylgja, Dúfa, Hefring, Himinglæva, Hrönn, Kólga, and Unnur. We should understand names. Names tell half the story.

Bára, Hrönn, Bylgja, Unnur are proper names (female) –the rest is too awesome (it is fun to understand all our mythical names).
Alda (wave) is also a proper name.

Note that the number 9 is a mythical one, not exactly 9.
