18 Álfheimar

chatter 18  Álfheimar      —  symbolic language of myths and kvæði, allegory in god-spells

i am telling thee one thing:   we are ginnungagap

we are the great void, the womb of the universe, the Fullness, Truth, Eternity, Reality, Divinity.

Óðinn given to Óðinn, my self given to my Self  (Hávamál vísa 138 and on) —  gnoþi seauton (know thyself)

ch18-1

ch18-2

this is small a sthapatya-ved house, door facing due east
and elf-cliffs also have their doors facing east

ch18-3

ch18-4

(art piece:  the holy place of elves)

ch18-5

Fenrisúlfur (Fenrir) is a symbol of accumulated evil in the world of men

when men violate the laws of nature day after day and year after year, they, in the end, cause the patience and tolerance of mother nature to take no more, and she bursts

in the perpetual dragon cycles, where they bite their own tail to allow no brake in the world, we are caught,
__if__ we do not know how to perform a valkyrja, be without the 3-guna (qualities of nature), þursamegir III

thereby giving in return to nature for her gifts and care (Icelandic: meiðmar)

ch18-6 ch18-7 ch18-8
the wolf is used as a symbol for a great devourer in the world,
Geri and Freki (Sanskrit gara and vrika, gluttonous wolf) recycle our bodies when not needed any longer: Óðinn gives meat to his dogs, but we live on mead of life alone for our sustenance
kjöt gefur Óðinn greyjum sínum, en við vín eitt æ unir

(see chatter 20)

ch18-9

but Álfheimar are all about something delicate, and something of inner nature of man, the seeking of Truth and divine treasure

zodiac sign álfheimar of Freyr, Taurus (Einar Pálsson Grímnismál Edda-poem)

ch18-10

Björn Jónsson, Manitoba,
a book about myths read in the stars and sky  –  Stjarnvisi í Eddum

Björn sees the death of Baldur as an eclipse
all the little things in the story are there to be found, Hyrrokkin, the dwarf, Nanna’s sorrow, the ship of the cremation…..

ch18-11

ch18-12

and we always come across these perpetual cycles

ch18-13

sun is in the danger of being swallowed

ch18-14

but nobody is afraid because we are spiritual beings, and, even if the whole world comes to an end, ragnarök of our universe, we cannot die

if we keep our body-cells pure and stress-less, we are ever-young, however old this our present body becomes
this is:  being loved by the gods, and dying (biologically) young even at old age

at ragnarök the second grief of Frigg will be, when our present askur will collapse  –  ymur hið aldna tré (the olden tree moans)

ch18-15

ch18-16
pieta, jesu’s body, Rome, Michelangelo, San Pietro
Hermóður rides to Helia to reclaim Baldur

fyrri harmur Friggjar, the former grief of Frigg, is when Höður (our blindness) kills Baldur (our sun-god) using a mistletoe (a parasite plant without roots)
Loki tricks Höður, something like Judas determined to promote the death of the sun-god jesus

ch18-17

Loki in the world of men, our innermost spiritual life, goddess Sun, in the sphere of gods
—   and the easy way into ginnungagap

to sustain life, sustain the gods, we transcend, and the gods will sustain us in return

we give back —  gjöf skal gjalda (give back for a present received ) —  and by so sustaining we are sustained

fear is because of the duality and opposites in the world
so we live the sphere of no duality: ginnungagap

there is never anything to fear, but we should always seek inner bliss, sæla of goddess Sól, all our life, and hamingja (eternal lasting true happiness) will shine through us onto our fellow-men and surroundings for the blessings of the whole world.
