Þursar Þursameyjar (thursmaidens)

Here we have Skaði Þjazadóttir, Gerður Gymisdóttir, Gunnlöð Suttungsdóttir.  Beautiful!

We find them in our myths.
Skaði öndurdís, furious, rushes into Ásgarður and demands Baldur,
Gerður enjoys material abundance, but should pay attention to purpose of life,
Gunnlöð is supposed to guard the mead of wisdom, but gives it away freely.

Delightful myths and poems full of meaning for us here and now.

Þursar are old, now useless, states of consciousness. We shall evolve towards higher states of consciousness.

The fastest way towards enlightenment is to learn to nýsa niður and practice that all our life-span.

Þursameyjar are the daughters of þursar. We see them as taking over, as to be our next and higher, more evolved, state of consciousness.

triguna of Nature
triguna of Nature

Do not confuse þursameyjar (þurs-maidens) with þursamegir III, 3 macs/sons  – who are the 3 qualities of Nature, triguna.
Meyjar (singular mær) maidens,
megir (singular mögur) mac (son).

For fun: Reading manuscripts is an art. Tricky, to say the least.
Þursamegir was read by experts as þursameyjar, which turned out to be not so.
Therefore — to console the mistaken scholars —  I have our 3 þurs-maidens, meyjar, here.
