7 Sif and Easter

Our ancient seasonal deities are wonderful – and Þór is our friend
Do you know that Easter is our ancient German spring deity?
We should celebrate our good old holy-days, rather than the newer (imposed holidays).

Sif, goddess of harvest, and Þór-Is Easter a spring-deity, and therefore we celebrate Easter in spring?
-Yes. An ancient feast among men.
And Sif is our goddess of harvest, the golden fields, and abundance of food.
Sif and Easter are our cycles and seasons.

1 min 17 sec pitch for Sif and Easter :

The text for 1 minute pitch Sif and Easter (above):

Sif and Easter and all our cycles and seasons.
We shall now understand cycles, small and huge, and how cycles carry us forward. Our universe is all cycles, and in them we life our life-spans. Actually Ymir /Big Bang and ragnarök are a cycle, a rather big one. And yule is a cycle, one of the daily and seasonal ones made by mother Earth.
We shall even see how Hermóður rides to Hel, Helia, to regain our sun-god Baldur. See how easy that otherwise tricky task really is. Simply a perpetual cycle. We can, on one hand, connect Baldur with earthly winter-solstice and the regaining of sunlight and light of life, and/or, on a deeper, more abstract level, to our inner sun, Goddess Sun, Sól, our regaining understanding of life, and to evolve towards enlightenment.
Then:  death of Baldur is an eclipse!
The Vedic calendar is based on the functioning of the Laws of Nature. It is more than just a tool which helps us to keep proper records for the past, and to make appointments for the future. It brings the order of Natural Law into our lives. It gives us knowledge about the Laws of Nature, and also tells us on which day a specific Law of Nature is more wide awake than usual and can be approached with more benefits for our lives.

More to ponder on:

* why the name Easter?
* can we figure out how theocracies took over our ancient Pagan/Heathen holidays?
* can you find examples of that?
* in which context is Óðins name Jólnir?
* what would be a real yule-present?
* can Sif’s (Icelandic genitive of Sif is Sifjar) golden hair have some connotation of the ripe vegetation in autumn?
* what happened to her hair?
* is Loki mankind? (Sanskrit loka is world)
* does Loki destroy – and then try to fix?
* who is our ever-true Sigyn? (Sig sigur victory, -yn vin friend)
* why would Þór and Sif be such a perfect match?
* could mothers of Jesus and Johannes be Nature-cycles’ deities?
* does Earth’s axis Mundilfari (mandala circle) give us our seasons?
if yes, then how? (google earth´s axis)
* what trouble shows up when an institution moves Nature’s festivals south of Equator skipping all understanding of their true meaning?
* does blind belief and creed demand no questions, no understanding?
* why would Northern peoples have summer- and winter-solstices as their main festivals?
* can you name some cycles, big and small, in our culture?
* does it make any sense, as the myth goes, that Hermóður rides to Helía to have Baldur rise again?
* could that be once in a life-time, or perhaps an every-year cycle?
* how can we connect birth of Jesus to yule and winter-solstice?
* should we welcome Winter in our way by an appropriate festival, make a beautiful festival of lights on 1st day of winter (end October to 1st of November) — and skip nowadays horrible distorted Halloween?
* (note: holy evening should be a beautiful term)
* note: if someone, his/their face masked, threatens a shopkeeper as to get something from him by, in turn promising to skip the sabotage threatened, that would be a police-case;  not kids’ play
* when masked horrible kids threat neighbors as to obtain sweets, it should not be considered to be any amusing game appropriate for kids
* deepavali in India is a beautiful festival of lights — according to our calendar: end of October, beginning of November
* has King Winter the right to take a 26-weeks summer holiday?
* since the settlement of Iceland we here have 26 weeks of winter and 26 weeks of summer;
* First Day of Summer, thus, is our olden holiday, always celebrated on a Thursday, — and ia the only holiday which has not been overtaken by any churchian holiday.
* what is the difference between Nature’s holidays and the man-made ones?  (forming a part of some systems and institutions)

* deyja öll sólguð og rísa svo upp aftur á 3ja degi?
* hvernig tengist fæðing Jesú vetrarsólhvörfum?
* er sniðug hugmynd að hafa vetrarkomugleði í stað innflutts hasars?
* (halloween er sagt að sé holy evening, mjög fallegt hugtak, en nú mjög brenglað)
* dípavali á Indlandi er ljósahátíð (lok okt byrj. nóv) mikil fögur gleði;
* hjá okkur er vetrarkomugleði um svipað leyti árs og ljósahátíðin
* á Vetur konungur rétt á 26-vikna sumarfríi?
* eru sumardagurinn fyrsti og fyrsti vetrardagur gamlir (allt frá landnámi) merkisdagar okkar?
* hver er munurinn á náttúrunnar hátíðum og manngerðum?
