Óður Hænir Lóður are the gods who give human attributes to the life-less and fate-less driftwood on the shore. So we now know that we are divine beings, Askur and Embla.

Man is not an animal. Man has his highly evolved nervous system, Sleipnir. Man is capable of imbibing the mead of wisdom in Hnitbjörg, and the wine of Óðinn in Ásgarður, and enjoy the nourishing feast at Ægis.

This is the sphere of man’s life of which we do not know – due to shallow education.
Óðsmál is giving this knowledge.
We should be apt enough to spot the responsibility we have by being Brísingamen, the jewel of Freyja in Fólkvangur: mankind, living on Vígríðarslétta.

Askur and Embla are the man-trees who receive the divine attributes from the gods.
How does it feel to be a divine being, nourished by roots in “That” which no man knows, no longer driftwood on the shore?

-What does it imply to be a divine being?

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi explains:
-It means the totality of all the laws of nature that could manage any situation under all circumstances, is already within us (end of quote).

We are Askur og Embla. We are inside made of golden stuff from the gods.
We should appreciate this inner divinity, and behave accordingly.

To promote profound understanding is the quest of Óðsmál.
