Skadi Njordur Baldur

-Is this Skaði-tale simply a funny story from our naïve forefathers?
-Indeed funny, yes. But really relevant to our life. We should understand our life in this perennial dilemma of
1) living in a body
2) yet seeking the highest. – We have to do both.

Pitch for Skaði Njörður Baldur  1 min 30 sec:

The text for 1 minute pitch Skaði Njörður Baldur (above):
21  Skaði Njörður Baldur

What a life !   Njörður is our origin in the waters, Skaði is the daughter of a þurs, a þursamær, terribly bossy and demanding. Skaði sets her goal on nothing less than the highest: Sun-god Baldur. We are torn into the dilemma of seeking the mountain-tops (the highest), and being stuck in a body, living.
The purpose of life is Sun-god Baldur, we can evolve only living in a body.
It has to be.
We know love-triangles to be the motive for real troubles, and this one is one of the tricky ones. Compromise-relationships are rational but difficult, we know that.  No man escapes the dilemma of Njörður Skaði Baldur, because, sooner or later, in this life-span and the next ones, we shall do both: life in a body and evolve to enlightenment. We will, inevitably, choose to be reborn until we succeed  –  and reach Valhöll fully alive.
We should know that myths are conveying Truth, only, not all of us understand.

More to ponder on:

* baldursbrá is a flower in English named a daisy, originally: day‘s eye

* who are these “other gods” who are banned by some theocracies?
* why is a first commandment all about the existence of panþeon/ these other gods?
* would sea-farers have ocean-deities?
* are personifications good for explaining, or can they lead astray?
* could arousing the wrath of gods be same as violating Natural Law? given that real gods do not get angry.
* why would female powers play such an important role in our Norse tradition?
* why would goddesses, þurs-maidens, and the gods of Natural Law be suffocated and banned in the patriarchy of theocracies?
* what would it imply to want a sun-god in one’s life?
* am I bound to Njörður in my life on earth?
* is “once upon a time” also here and now?
* what palace, höll, is in all these bed-time stories?
* what is a death of a sun-god?  can it also be an eclipse?
* note that I have Þjóðvitnir ask Skaði about the price of her skiing-gear when he is thinking about quitting that materially-oriented business of his:
* does change from one superficial life-style to another superficial life-style (–or from one institutional faith to another–) count for any real change at all on our spiritual path?
* do we see gear, institutions, buildings, intermediaries as soul-savers?
* is changing a system the solution of a crisis of existence?

Til umhugsunar:

*baldursbrá heitir á ensku daisy,  nafnið til orðið úr day‘s eye, dags auga.

* hver eru þessi „önnur guð“ sem guðveldin banna, og hvers vegna fer heilt boðorð þeirra (hið fyrsta) í
að láta okkur vita af tilvist þeirra?
* nota þjóðir sem búa við hafið táknmál tengt hafinu?
* eru persónugervingar góðir til útskýringa, eða geta þeir verið villandi?
* er það að gremja að sér goð að stríða gegn náttúrulögmálunum?
* hvers vegna skyldu kvengerðir kraftar spila svona stóra rullu í norrænum sið?
* hvers vegna skyldu gyðjur, þursameyjar og guð náttúrulögmálanna vera kaffærð í feðraveldi guðveldanna?
* hvað er það að vilja sólguð í líf sitt?
* sit ég uppi með Njörð í mannlífi mínu?
* er ,,einu sinni var fyrir löngu” líka hér og nú? hvaða höll er þetta í öllum þessum sögum?
* hvað er dauði sólguðs?
* er kroppurinn okkar gljúpur (Gungnir á stangli), svo hugur getur hindrunarlaust víkkað út í óendanleika Glaðheima?
* takið eftir að ég læt Þjóðvitni spyrja Skaða um verð á græjum þegar hann er að hugsa um að hætta efnishyggjunni — breyting á lífsstíl, en enn á yfirborðinu?  hvað er ég að segja okkur með þessu? er launsögn? pilla á okkur?
* höldum við að græjur, stofnanir, byggingar, milliliðir, séu sáluhjálp?
* að skipta um kerfi sé lausn alls sálarkreppuvanda?
